Tagwood BBQ

Argentine Santa Maria Grills

The fire is the party.

Tagwood builds open-fire grills the way they're built on the estancias of Argentina: a firebrick brasero to burn hardwood down to embers, a crank wheel that puts the grate exactly where you want it over the coals, and a body of 304 stainless steel that lives outside for decades.

🔧

Built like a tank

Welded 304 stainless, solid round-bar grates, refractory firebrick. Owners call it the centerpiece of the outdoor kitchen, and it looks the same in year ten.

🔥

The brasero

Burn wood down in the side firebox, then shovel clean embers under the grate exactly where you want heat. No flare-ups, no waiting.

⚙️

Cook by feel

The Santa Maria crank puts the grate anywhere from two inches to twenty over the coals. The height is the thermostat.

🍷

Everyone gathers here

An open grill with no lid to hide behind. The cook is never alone because the grill is where everyone wants to stand.

Shop the full Tagwood BBQ line, made in Argentina and backed by a factory warranty: freestanding gaucho grills from the Chief Series to the six-zone Beast, built-in and insert models for outdoor kitchens, natural-draft smoke hoods, and the grates, griddles, rotisseries, and covers that complete the asado station.

Deciding which Tagwood? Read our Tagwood BBQ review: every model compared, what owners say, and which one fits how you cook. New to wood fire? Start with What Is a Santa Maria Grill?, Argentine Grills Explained, and Santa Maria vs Argentine Grill.
