The Asado Experience
An asado is not a meal you cook and serve; it is an afternoon you host. The fire gets lit at noon, friends arrive with wine, and the cook is never alone at the grill because the grill is where everyone wants to stand.
The Tagwood BBQ09SS is the simplest way to build that fire into a permanent outdoor kitchen. It is a stainless hearth with a crank-elevated grate and nothing else in the way. Build the fire directly in the hearth, rake the embers where you want them, turn the wheel, and cook. It is the grill for the asador who wants live-fire cooking in a compact island without the footprint of a full brasero unit.
How You Cook On It
Build the fire directly in the stainless hearth. Oak, hickory, quebracho, or lump charcoal; twenty minutes to a bed of embers. Rake them with the included shovel: a thick bed on one side for searing, a scatter on the other for finishing.
Set the height with the crank wheel. An inch off the coals for a hard sear on skirt steak, ten inches up for a whole chicken roasting slowly in radiant heat. Swap the round grate for the griddle and you have a 33-inch plancha for vegetables, seafood, and bread. Hang chorizo from the S-hooks for the traditional first course.
Built Like A Tank
Every component of the BBQ09SS is 304-grade stainless steel, the alloy used in commercial kitchens and marine hardware. Welded body, solid round-bar grate, and a crank mechanism built to lift a loaded grate thousands of times. Set it in stone and it stays there for decades.
Installation
The BBQ09SS is designed to be set into a non-combustible masonry opening. Plan for the 39 3/4" W x 25" D x 33 3/4" H body plus the clearance and ventilation specified in the owner's manual linked below. Because there is no separate brasero, it fits islands that can't accommodate the wider built-in models. The optional Tagwood smoke hood is available for covered installations.

Questions Asadores Ask
Will it rust? No. 304 stainless resists corrosion in humid and coastal environments. Rinse off salt spray occasionally and it stays bright for decades.
Where does the fire go without a brasero? Directly in the hearth, under the grate, the traditional parrilla way. You build the fire to one side, let it burn to embers, and rake them across.
Round or V-shape grate? Round bar lets fat drip to the coals for flavor and flare. V-shape channels fat to a collector for a cleaner, more controlled fire. Both are available; the V-shape is sold separately.
Who installs it? Any mason or outdoor kitchen contractor. The owner's manual has the clearance and framing requirements.
How many people can it feed? The 33 1/2" x 22" grate holds ten to twelve large steaks or two racks of ribs. Comfortably a party of twelve.

For Non-Scheduled Deliveries

If you're away, they'll position it close to the garage or main entry.

30 Day Returns
We accept returns within 30 days of the date of purchase. If you wish to return an item, please contact our customer service department to receive an authorization number before shipping the item back to us. Please note that items returned without an authorization number will not be accepted. Items must be returned in new condition.
Return Shipping
We stand behind our products and want you to be satisfied with them. In the case that you decide to return your purchase, we will gladly refund you for the product in its entirety minus the cost of shipping and return shipping incurred by BBQ Kitchen Pros.
To qualify for return shipping, items must be returned in the original packaging, and pallet, (if included) and within the continental US. Once your return is approved and processed, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. Simply print the label and adhere to the package. Please ensure the returned item is packed securely to avoid damage during transit.
Remember, returns only apply to items returned in the original packaging. If an item is returned in non-original or damaged packaging, the customer may be responsible for any return shipping costs. In addition, freight shipping is scheduled for pick-up at a specific date and time, which is agreed upon by the customer. and customers must be there at the scheduled time. Missing scheduled freight time will result in a dry run fee which is issued by the shipping company.
Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please make a note of it immediately when signing for delivery and send photos to support@bbqkitchenpros.com on the day of delivery.
Original Packaging Please keep all the original packaging for any items that need to be returned. Items that are not returned in their original packaging may not be accepted for return.
Non-Refundable Items that become damaged after use are non-refundable unless specified under warranty.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. Items must be returned in new condition. You’ll also need a receipt or proof of purchase.

C. Damaged & Wrong Products & Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately within 24 hours if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. To return your product, you should contact our mail. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
D. Exchanges

E. No Re-stocking Fees
For our products, there is no Restocking Fee.
F. Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund has been approved or not.
