The Asado Experience

The Tagwood BBQ18SI Chief strips that experience down to its essentials. There is no crank, no clamp, no hood. There is a wide grate, a box for the fire, and two heights to choose from. How You Cook On It
Light a few splits of oak or hickory, or a chimney of lump charcoal, in the brasero. In twenty minutes you have embers. Rake them under the main grate with the included shovel: a thick bed on one side for searing, a scatter on the other for finishing.
Set the grate on the low position and lay a skirt steak down. The round bar lets fat roll toward the drain instead of pooling and flaring. Lift it to the high position with the handles, put a whole chicken on, and let it roast slowly in radiant heat while you tend the fire. Two heights cover ninety percent of what an asador does.
Add the optional secondary grate over the brasero and you have a third zone, the hottest on the grill, for chorizo, provoleta, and bread.
Built Like A Tank
The BBQ18SI's body is heavy cold-rolled steel in the Chief Series matte black finish. The grate, shovel, and poker are 304 stainless steel. The firebox is lined with refractory firebrick that stores heat and protects the steel from direct flame. At 267 pounds it is not going anywhere in the wind.
Like any painted-steel grill, the body will develop patina and surface oxidation over time, especially around the firebox. That's the nature of the material, not a defect. A light sanding and a coat of high-temperature paint once a season keeps it sharp. If you'd rather never think about it, the BBQ18SS is the same grill in stainless.

Questions Asadores Ask
Will it rust? The black steel body will develop surface patina over time, especially near the firebox. It doesn't affect performance; sand lightly and touch up with high-temp paint. The grate and tools are 304 stainless and will not rust.
What wood should I burn? Any dense hardwood: oak, hickory, mesquite, or traditional quebracho. Lump charcoal works too.
How long until I'm cooking? About twenty minutes from lighting the brasero to a working bed of embers.
How much assembly? The grill body arrives assembled. You attach the casters and side table, under an hour with two people.
How many people can it feed? The 32 1/4" x 17 1/4" grate holds six to eight large steaks or two whole chickens. Comfortably a family of eight to ten.

30 Day Returns
We accept returns within 30 days of the date of purchase. If you wish to return an item, please contact our customer service department to receive an authorization number before shipping the item back to us. Please note that items returned without an authorization number will not be accepted. Items must be returned in new condition.
Return Shipping
We stand behind our products and want you to be satisfied with them. In the case that you decide to return your purchase, we will gladly refund you for the product in its entirety minus the cost of shipping and return shipping incurred by BBQ Kitchen Pros.
To qualify for return shipping, items must be returned in the original packaging, and pallet, (if included) and within the continental US. Once your return is approved and processed, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. Simply print the label and adhere to the package. Please ensure the returned item is packed securely to avoid damage during transit.
Remember, returns only apply to items returned in the original packaging. If an item is returned in non-original or damaged packaging, the customer may be responsible for any return shipping costs. In addition, freight shipping is scheduled for pick-up at a specific date and time, which is agreed upon by the customer. and customers must be there at the scheduled time. Missing scheduled freight time will result in a dry run fee which is issued by the shipping company.
Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please make a note of it immediately when signing for delivery and send photos to support@bbqkitchenpros.com on the day of delivery.
Original Packaging Please keep all the original packaging for any items that need to be returned. Items that are not returned in their original packaging may not be accepted for return.
Non-Refundable Items that become damaged after use are non-refundable unless specified under warranty.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. Items must be returned in new condition. C. Damaged & Wrong Products & Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately within 24 hours if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. To return your product, you should contact our mail. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
D. Exchanges

E. No Re-stocking Fees
For our products, there is no Restocking Fee.
