View full detailsThis collection brings together grills made for shared and commercial settings: apartment complexes, HOA amenity areas, hotels, resorts, parks and restaurant patios. You'll find gas grills with one-hour safety timers and anti-theft knobs, park grills on in-ground and bolt-down posts, an electric grill for buildings without gas, and NSF-certified charcoal and wood-fired grills for foodservice. Use the filters to narrow by brand, mount, fuel and size, or jump to a buying guide below.
We checked the product data for every grill brand we carry and kept two groups. The first is rated or built for commercial use: PGS T-Series and E-Series, Fire Magic Choice Multi-User, Summerset Resort and the NSF-certified Sunterra Pro Series. The second is approved for commercial installs, with a warranty that covers them: MHP and ProFire, plus Tagwood gaucho grills, which are listed as commercial grade, and PGS Modano islands that come with a T-Series grill.
Grills whose makers exclude commercial or rental use from the warranty are left out, even if their marketing mentions commercial-grade grills or stainless steel. That keeps this page to equipment you can put in front of residents, guests and customers.
The biggest risk with a shared outdoor grill is a burner left on after the last user walks away. These commercial gas grills solve it with a timer that shuts off the gas, so the grill can't run all night.

PGS T-Series Commercial Grills
Every T-Series grill has the FuelStop one-hour gas flow timer, anti-theft control knobs and a laser-etched control panel. The cast aluminum T40 on an in-ground post has a 40,000 BTU stainless steel burner, and the T30 is the 30,000 BTU size. Prices run from $1,769 for a T30 on an in-ground post to $12,679 for the freestanding 51-inch S48T.

Fire Magic Choice Multi-User Grills
Fire Magic built the Choice Multi-User line for parks, apartment complexes and community centers. It has anti-theft knobs, an anti-theft warming rack and Diamond Sear cooking grids, and the post models have a one-hour timer in the post. The CM430S has two burners, 46,000 BTUs and 432 square inches of main grilling area.

Park grills mount to a post, so they stay put in a park, pool deck, courtyard or campground site. Pick the mount by the surface you have:

MHP Cast Aluminum Post Grills
MHP grills have cast aluminum housings and come on in-ground posts, bolt-down posts, patio bases and carts, or as built-ins, from $1,050 to $2,195. The compact JNR4DD holds about 12 burgers and the WNK4DD about 15. MHP says commercial and multi-unit installs get a one-year parts warranty.

Accessible Multi-User Grill
The Fire Magic Choice CMA430S is the accessible version of the multi-user post grill. Its lower grill height is made for public use by people of all abilities, and it keeps the anti-theft knobs and the timer in the post.

A built-in grill goes into a masonry or steel island, which suits a pool cabana, rooftop deck or clubhouse kitchen.

Summerset Resort
Summerset designed the Resort grill for commercial hotel and restaurant use. It has two 26,000 BTU burners (52,000 BTUs), 543 square inches of grilling area, 304 stainless steel, anti-theft locking gas knobs and a locking grease tray. Built-in $3,199, on a cart $4,184, or on the locking pedestal $4,598.

PGS S27T, S36T and S48T
The stainless T-Series grills come in 30, 39 and 51-inch sizes with the same timer and anti-theft knobs. The S27T built-in is $4,980. The S36T has three burners, 67,000 BTUs and 720 square inches.

Fire Magic CM540I and CM650I
Built-in versions of the Choice Multi-User grill. The CM540I has three burners and 60,000 BTUs over 540 square inches. The CM650I has three burners and 69,000 BTUs over 648 square inches.

ProFire Professional and Deluxe grills are 304 stainless steel built-ins in 27, 36 and 48-inch sizes, with options for an infrared sear zone and a rear infrared burner with rotisserie kit. ProFire covers all parts for one year on grills in multi-tenant or commercial settings. See the Professional 36-inch; prices run from $3,125 to $6,530.

PGS Modano BBQ Islands

PGS E27T Commercial Electric Grill
Some condos and high-rise buildings do not allow propane or open flames. The PGS E27T is ETL/Intertek certified and made for multi-user spaces. It runs on 240V with a NEMA 6-30 plug, cooks on 540 square inches of 304 stainless steel grids and has a one-hour shutoff timer on the front panel. Built-in $5,299, or $6,829 on a pedestal.

For a restaurant patio, a brewery, a caterer or a resort with live-fire cooking, the equipment may need to meet health-code standards. These grills are built for that kind of outdoor cooking.

Sunterra Pro Series Santa Maria
Sunterra calls the Pro Series its restaurant version: 3/16-inch steel, a black powder coat and NSF certification for commercial kitchens. A heavy flywheel and chain drive raise and lower the grate, low for a hard sear and high for slow cooking. Sizes run from 36 to 72 inches, built-in or on a cart, like the 48-inch Santa Maria grill with cart.

Sunterra Pro Series Argentine
The Argentine grills add a brasero, a steel basket where logs burn down to embers that you rake under the grate. Choose a rear brasero, like the 48-inch rear brasero grill with cart, or a side brasero. Pro Series grills range from $2,839 to $10,599.

Tagwood Gaucho Grills
Tagwood grills are made in Argentina in 304 stainless steel or black steel, with firebrick braseros and crank-wheel grates on many models. They are listed as commercial grade and run from $2,500 for the Chief Series to $30,000 for the XL BBQ22SS. Start with the BBQ03SS.
Gas or Live Fire?

Most gas grills here are sold in both versions, so pick the one that matches the gas at your site.
Match the grill to how many people cook at once. Burger counts from the spec tables on each product page give a quick comparison:
For a busy pool deck or park pavilion, two mid-size grills often work better than one large grill, because two groups can cook at the same time.
Check your fire code, your insurance carrier and your property rules before you pick a spot, and follow the clearances to combustibles in each grill's owner's manual. Many apartment and condo rules limit gas grills on balconies, which is where an electric grill helps.
Built-in grills need the exact cutout listed on the product page. The PGS S36T needs a 36.5 by 23 by 9.5 inch cutout, and the Summerset Resort needs 28 1/2 by 23 1/16 by 10 3/16 inches. The E27T comes with a 6-foot cord and a NEMA 6-30 plug, so plan the outlet within reach. For natural gas, have a licensed installer run and test the line.
Many residential grill warranties exclude rental and commercial settings, so check coverage before you buy.
Warranty in short: PGS T-Series and E-Series grills carry a one-year parts warranty, labor not included. MHP commercial and multi-unit installs get a one-year parts warranty, labor not included. For Fire Magic, Summerset, Sunterra and Tagwood, check the product page for commercial terms.

A commercial grill is built for many users and heavy, daily use, and the maker approves it for that setting. On shared properties that usually means an automatic gas shutoff timer, knobs that cannot be pulled off, a mount that bolts or anchors down, and a warranty that covers commercial installs. Restaurant grills add a food-equipment certification such as NSF.
Every PGS T-Series gas grill has the FuelStop one-hour gas flow timer, and the PGS E27T electric grill has a one-hour shutoff timer on the front panel. Fire Magic Choice multi-user grills on a post have a one-hour timer built into the post.
Start with a post-mounted grill that has a gas timer and anti-theft knobs, such as a PGS T30 or T40 or a Fire Magic Choice CM430S. For an outdoor kitchen island, a built-in PGS S27T, S36T or S48T keeps the same timer and anti-theft knobs, and the Fire Magic CM540I and CM650I keep the anti-theft knobs and warming rack. If gas is not allowed, choose the PGS E27T electric grill.

It depends on the brand. PGS T-Series and E-Series grills carry a one-year parts warranty, MHP covers commercial installations with a one-year parts warranty, and ProFire gives a one-year warranty on all parts for grills in multi-tenant or commercial settings.
