Delta Heat Grill Reviews: Are They Worth It? (2026)

Delta Heat 32 inch built-in gas grill with rotisserie in a black outdoor kitchen island by the lake

Delta Heat is the lower-priced gas grill line from Twin Eagles. The grills are built in the USA from welded 304 stainless steel, they come in 26, 32 and 38 inches, and they start at about $3,000. This grill review covers how they cook, what each size and setup costs, how to light one, what to do when the igniter will not spark, and how Delta Heat compares to Twin Eagles, Blaze and Fire Magic.

We are a Delta Heat dealer. Specs come from Delta Heat, the owner's manual and our product pages, and prices were checked on November 2, 2026. Quick answer

Delta Heat grills are a strong value: American made, welded 304 stainless steel, ceramic briquettes, halogen lights and a lifetime warranty on the main burners and housing, from $3,019. You give up the zone dividers, hex grates, heavier burners and 100 lb. rotisserie of a Twin Eagles. For most outdoor kitchens, the 32-inch with sear zone and rotisserie is the one to buy.

Our Verdict at a Glance

As a built-in gas grill for outdoor cooking, Delta Heat gets the basics right for the price: welded 304 stainless steel, a dual-lined hood, stainless U burners over ceramic briquettes, and the sear and rotisserie options most buyers want. It is a simpler grill than a Twin Eagles, and these are the trade-offs.

What we like

Built in the USA by Twin Eagles from welded 304 stainless steel.
Lifetime coverage on the main burners and housing.
Infrared sear zone and rotisserie burner options on the 32 and 38.
Tight 8 mm round grates that keep shrimp and vegetables on top.
Black or white control panels on rotisserie and sear zone models.

Things to consider

No zone dividers, so heat blends across the firebox.
Ignition runs on a 9V battery, which you replace when it stops sparking.

Lineup, Sizes and Prices

Delta Heat makes three sizes. Every Delta Heat gas grill uses 18-gauge stainless U burners at 16,500 BTUs each, a removable warming rack and ceramic briquettes. The images are drawn to scale.

Which size to buy

The 32-inch with sear zone and rotisserie is the Delta Heat our customers buy most, followed by the 38-inch with sear zone and rotisserie. The 32 fits most islands and feeds a family; the 38 adds 100 sq. in. of grate for bigger crowds. The 26 suits a small patio or a second gas grill. Black and white control panels on the rotisserie and sear zone models add $110 to $140 on natural gas built-ins.

Features and Cooking Performance

Here is what you get under the hood of a Delta Heat gas grill, and how it cooks.

Burners, briquettes and grates

Ceramic briquettesSpread heat, cut flare-ups and flip over to burn off grease.

Delta Heat infrared sear zone burner
Infrared sear zoneA 20,000 BTU infrared burner on sear zone models.

The U burners run front to back and the briquettes spread their heat across the grate, so a full grate of burgers cooks evenly. With no dividers between burners, the heat blends, so for two-zone cooking turn one side to high and leave the other low or off. On sear zone models, sear steaks on the infrared burner with the hood open, then finish them over a U burner. Give the grill 15 minutes on high with the hood closed to preheat.

Rotisserie, lights and colors

The rotisserie burner heats up in about a minute once lit, and the spit sits in a front or rear position depending on the size of the roast. Blue LED lights behind the knobs and a hood assist that keeps the lid from slamming round out the setup.

Setup, Lighting and Warranty

Planning your island

Cut-out: 19 3/4 in. deep and 9 1/2 in. high for every size; width is 24 1/2, 30 1/2 or 36 1/2 in.
Power: a 120V GFCI outlet runs the lights and rotisserie motor; the igniter runs on a 9V battery.
Fuel: natural gas or propane, ordered to match your supply. See propane vs natural gas.
Insulated jacket: Delta Heat sells jackets for each size; check the install manual to see if your island needs one.

How to light a Delta Heat grill

1

Open the hood

Never light the grill with the hood closed. Open the gas supply valve.

2

Check the spark

Push in a knob and confirm the igniter sparks. No spark means the 9V battery needs replacing.

3

Push and turn

Push in the knob, turn it counterclockwise to high and hold it in for 4 seconds until the burner lights.

4

Preheat

Close the hood and preheat on high for about 15 minutes.

If a burner does not light within 4 seconds, turn the knob off and wait 5 minutes before trying again. For the rotisserie burner, push in and hold the knob for 30 seconds so the safety thermocouple heats up.

Igniter not working?

  • Replace the 9V battery; it is the most common cause of no spark.
  • Purge any trapped air from the gas line, which is common on a new install.
  • Light the burner with a long match or BBQ lighter through the grates to test the gas supply.
  • Check that the other burners light, and that a propane tank is not empty.

Warranty

  • Lifetime: stainless main burners and housing.
  • 15 years: stainless cooking grates.
  • 5 years: briquette trays and gas valves.
  • 2 years: all other parts.
  • 1 year: full parts and labor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who makes Delta Heat grills?

Twin Eagles. Delta Heat grills are engineered, designed and manufactured by Twin Eagles in the USA, and Dometic has owned both brands since 2021.

Are Delta Heat grills good?

Yes. They are made in the USA from welded 304 stainless steel, with stainless U burners, ceramic briquettes, halogen lights and a lifetime warranty on the main burners and housing, starting at $3,019.

Why won't my Delta Heat grill light?

Push in a knob and check for a spark. If there is none, replace the 9V battery. If it sparks but will not light, purge air from the gas line, try lighting with a long match, and check that a propane tank is not empty.

How do you turn on a Delta Heat grill?

Open the hood and the gas supply, push in a knob and confirm the igniter sparks, then push and turn the knob counterclockwise to high and hold it for 4 seconds until the burner lights.

What are the downsides of an infrared sear burner?

It needs about 10 minutes to warm up before you turn it down, its flame is hard to see in bright sun, and liquids can damage its ceramic tiles. Delta Heat also says not to set a briquette tray over it.

Can I order a Delta Heat grill for natural gas or propane?

Yes. Every Delta Heat grill comes in a natural gas or propane version; order the one that matches your gas supply.
