Sunterra Argentine grills put a brasero beside or behind the cooking grate: wood burns down in the firebox, and you rake the glowing embers under the food, so meat cooks over coals and never over flame. It is the asado method in 3/16-inch Texas steel with firebrick, a chain-drive crank, and the same four finishes as the Santa Maria line.
Rear Brasero or Side Brasero
- Rear Brasero — the firebox sits behind the grate. Compact footprint, 36 to 72 inches, single or split grate.
- Side Brasero — the firebox sits beside the grate. Easier to rake, more cooking width per inch of grill, 48 to 72 inches.
Series and Steel
Origin in charcoal-finish carbon steel, Pro Series NSF-certified powder-coated steel, and Stainless Steel 304 for stainless kitchens and coastal air. Every model built-in or with cart. The split 48/24 grate on 72-inch grills runs two fires at two heights.
