The flush mount can be installed with edges exposed or partially covered by drywall, plaster, stucco, or tongue-in-groove wood ceiling treatment (1/2 in. clearance required from ventilation holes). Constructed from 304 stainless steel for lasting durability. Available in 9 colors including stainless steel, black, white, almond, beige, biscuit, bronze, copper, and grey to match your space. Includes hi-temperature fixture whip and hi-temp wire nuts. Mounting requires 2 x 8 studs minimum. The flush mount application requires a 5-sided 5/8 in. drywall lined pocket with a 1-hour fire rating. Infratech heaters cannot be flush mounted into a pitched or sloped ceiling. Which Heaters Fit This Frame? This 48-Inch frame fits all Infratech 48-Inch heaters including: W-3024, W-4024, WD-5024, WD-6024 and all matching C/CD-Series. Also compatible with Motif Collection models in this size.

Flush Mount vs. Surface Mount: Flush mounting recesses the heater into the ceiling for a clean, built-in look. Standard surface mounting hangs the heater below the ceiling. Choose flush mount when you want the heater to blend into the ceiling architecture. Choose surface mount for simpler installation or when ceiling construction does not allow recessing.

Ceiling Requirements: Flat ceilings only - not for pitched or sloped ceilings. Requires a 5-sided pocket lined with 5/8 in. drywall with a 1-hour fire rating. Minimum 2 x 8 stud framing. Maintain 1/2 in. clearance from ventilation holes when covering edges with ceiling material.

Standard vs. Marine Grade: Standard frames use 304 stainless steel with optional powder-coat colors. For coastal, saltwater, or high-humidity environments, consider the Marine Grade version with 316 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance.
