The Presrv outdoor kegerator ships as a cabinet. The stainless draft tower, faucet, beer and gas lines, CO2 regulator, CO2 tank and keg coupler are sold separately as a tap kit, and you need one to pour beer. If you want a complete pouring setup out of the box, buy the single, double, or triple tap bundle instead — the arithmetic is identical and the bundles save you a second order.
Buy this listing on its own if you already own a compatible Zephyr tap kit, if you are converting an existing setup, or if you intend to run it as a beverage cooler now and add draft later. That flexibility is the point of the product.
The hybrid argument
Most kegerators are single-purpose: a keg goes in, and when there is no keg the cabinet is an awkward empty box with a hole in the top. Zephyr designed this one to work both ways. Pull the keg and coupler, fit glass shelves, and it becomes a 107-can beverage cooler. For an outdoor kitchen that hosts four big parties a year and otherwise serves a family, that convertibility is worth more than an extra faucet.
At 6 cu. ft. it is also the largest cabinet in Zephyr's outdoor Presrv lineup, and its 32° to 65°F range is the widest — 32°F for beer served genuinely cold, 65°F for anything you want at cellar temperature.
Why the Presrv Kegerator Instead of a Standard Outdoor Kegerator
- A beer line cooling system. This is the feature that separates good kegerators from frustrating ones. Zephyr blows cool air onto the beer line itself. Warm line means the first pour after an idle hour is foam, and you dump half a glass every time. Cooling the line is how you get a clean first pour.
- An included built-in installation kit. Zephyr states this is the first kegerator to ship with a built-in install kit as standard — a threaded countertop flange, an adjustable insulation tube, and an insulation tube gasket. If the tower is going through a stone or tile countertop, that hardware is what makes the penetration clean and insulated. Buying it separately for other brands is a real cost and a real hassle.
- Five documented keg configurations. One sixth barrel or slim quarter barrel plus 53 cans; one half barrel; two sixth barrels or two slim quarter barrels; three sixth barrels; or no keg at all in beverage cooler mode. Most 24-inch kegerators take one keg and stop.
- Genuinely outdoor rated, with a caveat worth knowing. Rated to 109°F ambient in 304-grade stainless. Note that this is lower than the 115°F rating on the other three Presrv outdoor models — the tower penetration and beer line cooling change the thermal picture. In most climates that is irrelevant. In Phoenix in July, in full sun, it is worth knowing.
- It locks. A kegerator on an open patio holding a half barrel is exactly the appliance you want to lock when the adults go inside.
Running it as a beverage cooler
The cabinet ships with two adjustable glass beverage shelves. To reach the full 107-can beverage cooler configuration Zephyr specifies the PRKSHLF-02BG conversion kit, a set of two additional glass shelves. That is an accessory, not included here, and we would rather tell you now than have you count shelves after delivery.
One further planning note straight from Zephyr's manual: the space required for a double or triple tower installation prevents installation of the glass shelving. If you want a cabinet that switches between draft and beverage duty, a single tap kit is the configuration that preserves that flexibility.

Installation
- Confirm the opening. Cabinet is 23-7/8" W x 33-7/8" H x 23-1/2" D, adjustable 33-7/8" to 34-7/8" on leveling legs.
- Plan the tower penetration before you cut stone. With a tap kit installed, overall height reaches 50-3/32" to 51-3/32". The tower passes through the countertop and the included flange and insulation tube seal that penetration. Coring a granite, quartz or tile countertop is fabricator work — hire it out.
- Provide power. Standard 115/120V AC grounded outlet, 1.5A maximum, GFCI-protected and weather-rated for outdoor installations. Licensed electrician work if the circuit is new.
- Keep the front vent clear and allow 2-1/4" minimum rear clearance.
- Set the door swing before installation. The hinge is field reversible and this is far easier out of the opening.
- Level the cabinet in both axes.
- Let it stand upright four hours before first power-on.
- Calibrate the regulator when you fit a tap kit and check every connection for leaks before pouring. Zephyr's tap kit manual covers the procedure step by step.
What you should plan to hire out: the electrical circuit, the countertop core for the tower, and any masonry work. At 110 lbs the cabinet is a two-person lift.

Warranty
Zephyr backs the Presrv™ line with two years of parts coverage, two years of labor coverage, and five years on the sealed compressor. That labor term is the part worth reading twice. Plenty of premium refrigeration carries two years on parts but only one year on labor, which means that in year two you are paying a technician's call-out and hourly rate to install a part the manufacturer sends free. Zephyr covers both for the full two years. The five-year compressor term covers the single most expensive component in the cabinet.
Two conditions matter for outdoor installations. Coverage assumes the unit is operated inside its rated ambient range, and it assumes installation follows the clearance and venting requirements in the manual. Running an outdoor-rated cabinet below its minimum ambient temperature, or burying a front-vented unit in a sealed enclosure, are the two most common ways owners create a problem the warranty will not cover. Both are avoidable at the design stage.

30 Day Returns

Return Shipping
