Your outdoor space should feel as intentional as the rest of your home. At 86.5" wide, the Sandbar is a full outdoor kitchen — a centered Jupiter grill with real landing space on both sides, and two independent storage cabinets you configure yourself.

That last part is what sets it apart. Most islands hand you a fixed layout. The Sandbar lets you choose what lives in the left cabinet and what lives in the right cabinet, independently — propane storage, roll-out drawers, or a pull-out trash bin, in whatever combination matches your setup.

It arrives fully assembled. No flat-pack, no cabinet building, no separate countertop fabricator, and no wondering whether the grill will fit the cutout.

1. It Will Not Rot, Rust, Swell, or Delaminate

Most outdoor kitchens fail for one boring reason: they were built from materials meant to live indoors. Wood swells and rots. Particleboard turns to pulp. Powder-coated steel chips, and once it chips it rusts from the inside out.

WeatherStrong cabinets are built from marine-grade HDPE — the same family of material used for dock hardware and boat interiors. It doesn't absorb water, so it can't swell or rot. The color runs all the way through the material, not sprayed on top, so a scratch or scuff never exposes a different color underneath. Rain, pool splash-out, salt air, freeze-thaw, and 100-degree afternoons don't degrade it. You clean it with soap and water.

2. Six Finishes and Two Door Styles — Chosen by You

Choose Miami, a flat slab door with a smooth surface and clean lines for a modern look, or Sanibel, a framed recessed-panel door with more traditional shadow-line detail.

Then choose your finish: Shell White, Shoreline Gray, Sapphire Blue, Pitch Black, Teak, or Dark Ash. Every finish resists fading and rust staining, so the island you install is the island you'll still be looking at in ten years.

3. The WeatherTop™ Countertop Is Built for Outside

Natural stone outdoors is a maintenance project. Granite needs resealing. Marble etches when lemon juice or wine sits on it. Concrete stains and cracks in freeze-thaw.

The WeatherTop™ countertop is engineered for outdoor use instead — non-porous, UV-stable, and freeze-thaw rated. No sealing, no fading in direct sun, and spills wipe off instead of soaking in. On the Sandbar you get generous counter runs flanking the grill on both sides, which is what makes it genuinely workable for prep and serving at the same time. WeatherTop is offered in two colors: Glacier Frost, a bright white with soft veining that reflects heat and keeps the surface cooler in afternoon sun, and Midnight Ice, a deep charcoal that hides everyday use. This island ships with Glacier Frost.

4. Two Cabinets, Configured Independently

Under the grill sits a full-width double-door cabinet — one large uninterrupted space for tools, cleaning supplies, and platters. Flanking it are two single-door cabinets, and you choose what each one does:

• Propane Holder Single Door — a pull-out tray carries the tank in and out on smooth slides, so you're not wrestling a 20 lb cylinder out of a dark cabinet at an awkward angle. Essential if you're running propane.
• 2-Drawer Single Door — two roll-out trays behind a door. You get drawer-style access to the back of the cabinet without drawer fronts breaking up the clean cabinet face.
• Trash Bin Single Door — a pull-out bin that keeps trimmings, packaging, and paper plates contained and out of sight during a party.

A common setup: propane on one side, trash on the other. Running natural gas? Two drawer cabinets, or drawers and trash. The combination is yours.

5. Hardware You'll Feel Every Single Day

Hinges and slides are where cheap outdoor cabinets give themselves away. Within two seasons the doors sag, catch on the frame, or slam in the wind, and pull-outs start to bind.

The Sandbar runs on stainless steel soft-close hinges and full-extension slides. Full extension means a tray or bin comes all the way out — you reach the back without digging blind. Soft-close does more than feel expensive: it eliminates the slam. Every hard closing impact is a shock load on the slide, the hinge, and the cabinet face, and repeated shock is what eventually knocks a door out of alignment or wears a slide loose. By catching the door and easing it through the last inch, the soft-close mechanism removes that impact entirely. That smooth, controlled movement is exactly what preserves slide and hinge life — and why everything still lines up years in. All slides, hinges, handles, and fasteners are stainless, so nothing streaks rust down your cabinet fronts.

Installation — What Actually Happens on Delivery Day

Your cabinets arrive pre-assembled from the factory. You are not building cabinetry. Plan on two people and an afternoon.

1. Position the island. Set the assembled cabinets where they will live. You need a solid, reasonably flat base — concrete, pavers, or a rated deck.
2. Join the sections together. The Sandbar is a multi-cabinet run: the grill base and both flanking cabinets are bolted together through the cabinet sides so the run behaves as one unit and the countertop seats flat.
3. Level it on the stainless legs. Every cabinet stands on adjustable stainless steel leveling legs. Thread them up or down to bring the run dead level across a sloped patio — most patios are poured with drainage fall, so expect to use them. The legs also hold the cabinet bases off the ground so standing water never sits against them. Across 86.5" this matters: check level along the full run, not just at the ends, or your pull-outs won't glide properly.
4. Install the toe kicks. WeatherStrong includes toe kicks for the front, sides, and rear — not just the front. That's what lets the island sit out in the middle of a patio and look finished from every angle instead of exposing legs and hardware from behind.
5. Set the countertop and install the grill. The WeatherTop countertop is set and secured across the joined cabinets, then the Jupiter grill drops into its cutout with the insulating jacket.
6. Connect the gas. The grill ships configured for propane; a natural gas conversion kit is included. Have all gas connections completed by a licensed professional and follow your local building, gas, and venting codes.

Before you order: measure your finished space and your delivery path. At 86.5" wide, gates, stairs, and narrow side yards are the most common delivery problem with an assembled island.

What the 25-Year Cabinet Warranty Means

WeatherStrong warrants the HDPE cabinet boxes, doors, and exterior against defects in materials and workmanship for 25 years to the original purchaser in residential use. That is a long horizon for outdoor cabinetry, and it exists because the material genuinely does not rot or corrode.

Coverage requires proof of purchase from an authorized dealer. Damage from improper installation, unlevel setting, abrasive cleaners, or commercial use is excluded. Warranties are non-transferable.
