What Is ARS Technology — and Is It Right for Your Installation?
ARS (Air Recovery System) is Vent-A-Hood's proprietary ductless ventilation technology. Instead of exhausting kitchen air to the outside through ductwork, the ARS system draws air through a 4-phase filtration process and returns cleaned air back into the kitchen. This makes it possible to install a full-size, professional-quality island range hood in spaces where running a duct to the exterior is not practical — including kitchen islands far from exterior walls, apartments, condominiums, commercial buildings with fixed ceilings, and covered outdoor kitchens where ceiling penetration is not permitted.
How ARS Works
4-Phase Filtration — No Duct Required
The Power Lung K Series blower draws cooking air up into the hood canopy, passes it through a 4-phase proprietary filtration sequence that captures grease, smoke, and odors, and returns filtered air back into the kitchen below. The ARS filter assembly — purchased separately — is the consumable component that enables this process and must be replaced periodically based on cooking frequency.
Ideal Use Case
Light Residential Cooking — Where Venting Isn't Possible
The ARS system is designed for light to moderate residential cooking — everyday meals, low to medium heat cooking, and occasional sautéing. It is not intended for high-BTU commercial-type cooking, frequent frying, or high-smoke applications where a ducted system would be the appropriate choice. If ducting is possible in your space, a ducted Euroline Pro model will outperform the ARS system for heavy cooking use.

Island hoods hang from ceiling joists or blocking. Confirm the ceiling structure can support the hood weight above the island location. No duct penetration required — the ceiling only needs to support the hanging hardware.

30 Day Returns
We accept returns within 30 days of the date of purchase. If you wish to return an item, please contact our customer service department to receive an authorization number before shipping the item back to us. Please note that items returned without an authorization number will not be accepted. Items must be returned in new condition.
Return Shipping
We stand behind our products and want you to be satisfied with them. In the case that you decide to return your purchase, we will gladly refund you for the product in its entirety minus the cost of shipping and return shipping incurred by BBQ Kitchen Pros.
To qualify for return shipping, items must be returned in the original packaging, and pallet, (if included) and within the continental US. Once your return is approved and processed, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. Simply print the label and adhere to the package. Please ensure the returned item is packed securely to avoid damage during transit.
Remember, returns only apply to items returned in the original packaging. If an item is returned in non-original or damaged packaging, the customer may be responsible for any return shipping costs. In addition, freight shipping is scheduled for pick-up at a specific date and time, which is agreed upon by the customer. and customers must be there at the scheduled time. Missing scheduled freight time will result in a dry run fee which is issued by the shipping company.
Damaged Items

Original Packaging Please keep all the original packaging for any items that need to be returned. Items that are not returned in their original packaging may not be accepted for return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. Items must be returned in new condition.
